In-progress Ride Vehicles

A couple of other almost complete ride vehicle models. This time of my own design, rather than studies of existing.

The first is a small six-seater car for a rollercoaster themed to an adventure through Mayan temples. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the resin to form a set of shoulder restraints, so there's no seatbelt system installed yet. How safe =)


The second is the ride vehicle from my looooong project for a complete Disney style E-ticket attraction. I've been calling it "Mecha Mountain" for now, but it'll probably get a better name eventually.

This car is a "canister caddy"- a small, nimble vehicle designed to transport gas canisters throughout a working mine. The actual ride vehicle is a variant of the "test track" system, capable of high speeds.

Needless to say, the (not yet made) gas canister ruptures somewhere along the adventure and rockets the car into its high speed finale.

Very neat! The weathering is done well. What's it done out of? Foam, styrene, resin?

If you dont mind me asking this question, why are you recreating the Indiana Jones Ride set? I mean, it's cool and all, but is there a mass purpose? Not to sound like a jackass...that is.
