@volaretv Many of the torn pieces are with an intact page. He searches for the intact page and then, as he drops the intact page down, the torn pieces drop to the floor behind the unfolding intact page. Being as the complete page is unfolding down to the level of the table, the torn pieces drop to the floor just out of sight.

As jackalwill wrote, he keeps looking down at the floor at the end and even (in my opinion) slides them into a central pile with his foot.
