Naomihas: You first find this song on the album;"New skin for the old ceremony" from before 1985. But it will surely be included in almost all greatest hits albums by Cohen. I can strongly recommend all his original albums, right from the very first one. In my opinion Cohen is the ultimate Folk singer/ poet, and shares the highest class, with only one other; Bob Dylan of course

"all these black musicians ruin this song." If anybody wonders whether racism still flourishes today, consider that statement. Sonny Rollins is not just "the sax," for God's sake. I was thinking about being gentle and saying "you just need to learn a little more about African-American musi c and why Leonard Cohen might be happy about having such musicians play with him," but screw it, it's racism, and I'm through with being reasonable. To hell with you. karolecampesine.

I've heard this version before and while Sonny Rollins is a marvelous musician, after seeing Dino Soldo in person last night at Leonard's concert in St.Louis, I have to say Dino and Leonard are a better fit. But that's just MHO.
