We can't afford single-payer. Medicare and Medicaid are going broke and they only cover segments of society. Covering everyone does not lower health care costs, the government could lower physician reimbursement rates at even lower rate than they already low-ball doctors but then smart people would decide that becoming a doctor is too much work and not worth the loss in income.

What a fucking joke. Seriously the iPhone as a poster boy for choice. Try telling that to Verizon and Cingular customers. So if you want to freely choose an iPhone you have no choice but to use ATT. Sounds a lot like their idea of competition is a bit off and that is why Coburn and the rest say competition is good as they defend the insurance monopoly . What a sack of shit.
