If you weren't aware, Shuckle's Defense and Sp. Defense both have a base of 230. It is by far the most defensive Pokémon in the game, and seeing it use Rest is a dreadful thing indeed.

At the very least, you get to see what it looks like when a Substitute uses Explosion.

I used Ambipom, Phione, and Skuntank. My opponent used Shuckle, Togekiss, and Breloom.

What I don't get about Weather moves like sandstorm is how the pokemon takes the damage yet the trainer is totally unharmed. I mean should he be dying or something?

That was funny when Skuntank had used Explosion. They made the Substitute disappear and then he went down. And they still had Stealth Rock set up. Nice job, Overhazard.

I do think its funny how pokemon just fight and not injure the trainders. And in in-game pokemon gyms, the area that you fight in is so small, how can the pokemon do anything and crush the surrounding trainers? :)
