Well... In my opinion there's no point of compare between tarja or sharon and the queen Floor!!!... I mean... Just Listen to her voice and her amazing tecnique!!! Tarja is a very limitated singer in my opinion... She just use One tecnique (Lirical Tecnique... Like Opera)... And in other field she really don't get it.... Sharon... O.k... No coms....Shes absolutely a very poor and average singer....Floor Rules... Just Simone Simons Is comparable... And even she can't reach such level!!!

...So she obviously can do it!!!. I mean, I understand and respect when you say that Sharon or Tarja are your favorite singers, but you can't say they're the best when there are such Amazing singers like Floor, Simone Simons, "Myst" from the Luca Turilli's Dreamquest project and even Liv Kristine from Leave's Eyes. Which has such a great versatile technique. That's like saying Ozzy Osbourne is better singer than Andrea Bocelli just because we're Metalheads!!!... That's absolutelly ridiculous!!!

Doesn't matter if they're singing opera or thrash metal, technique is technique wherever you apply it. I agree when you say Sharon's voice is perfect for Within Temptation's music, that's absolutely right, but that doesn't make her better singer. I'm studying music at university so I know what I'm talking about, Sharon reach notes not any Mezzo can reach just because of the Technique she applies! which is Falsetto, and is the same technique we (males) use to reach women notes! I really can't understand why does Sharon Den Adel and Tarja has many fans saying she's one of the best singers on Metal, I mean, I respect everyone's likes... but, let's be honest, when it comes to a "Technical Matters" discussion, you can't talk based on your likes, you must base o what you're listening to, and in vocal fields Technique and versatile skill are everything. Tarja is good but not the best, and Sharon is just average, doesn't matter the genre they're singing. (to be continued...)

@ashestoyoursoul Late, i Know :P But that is a good point, she might be "Average" (Which technically she isn't because she can hit notes not many Mezzo-Sopranos can hit) but the music and the vocals WT make are a fantastic blend, After Forever and Epica are more thrash sounds, with soprano and grunt vocals, but Within Temptation blends everything together, especially in The Heart Of Everything Album. :) And i cant wait for their new album. :P
