Rally For Marriage Equality - Sydney, 27th November 2010


Believe it or not, Same-Sex marriage is still ILLEGAL in Australia!
There needs to be a separation of church & state. Hate & closed-minded attitudes need to be left in the past where they belong, and we need to end this ridiculous discrimination.

We are not asking for anything more than to be treated the SAME as everyone else in the eyes of the law.

Together we will continue to march and scream and shout until this is fixed.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE.

I have no idea why anyone would not support same sex marriage. If gays and lesbians get married, it does not make my 'straight' marriage any less of a marriage. It doesn't make me start thinking, now I want to try being a lesbian. It boggles my mind.

what really gets me going is the fact that here in the US, Christians are the ones who are most outspoken against gays, bisexuals, lesbians and transgenderates. our religion preaches love and forgiveness and acceptance, but we don't do it. as a Christian and a bisexual, I say it's time we take a stand and love like Jesus loved. unconditionally. with no biases.

@Mysticblue1212 I don't think it is fear, I think it is ignorance. Ignorance because they don't know what they are afraid of and then it turns to hate. I used to hate spiders. I have educated myself to know that they are needed in nature. I still fear spiders, but I don't hate them anymore. I think if more people educated themselves then the knowledge will overcome hate. One person at a time I guess.
