I've driven my fair share of those suckers (I fenced and cross-fenced five acres of some very hard ground) and I've got to say that if I had one of those, it would have saved me days of back-breaking labor. One thing I have to ask, though, is how hard would it be for him to drive it into that soil with a manual pounder?

wooo hoo go post pounder those things are amazing:)

will it drive 2 5/8 posts, and where do you get one?

good idea, pursue it with vigor. you have a winner here pard.

Very cool, I wish I had one of these. To the guy that says a sledge would be just as good, haha. I have pounded many posts with a sledge and it is not good, you can not reach the top of the post first of all if you are using 8 footers, plus it is murder. Also the less wobbling while pounding the post the stronger the installation. A sledge or even a manual post pounder tends to widen the whole a bit as it is going in the ground.

a sleg would do the job just as good
I'd like to see it try put one of those star pickets into the rock hard ground of the Australian outback, how many post can it do in a row on that nice soft ground before having to refill the propane?

@geck91 Thanks for the comment-- I have some pictures from a customer in Australia driving big gate anchors with the Propane Hammer. If you send me your email I can send them to you. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments-- Phoenix-- When we first developed the Propane Hammer, we had a race between the owner (with a Propane Hammer) and his son (with a manual pounder). The son kept up with the owner for the first post and by the time he had his second post done, the owner was done with four posts. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks
