Race 2 of Moto-Month www.hannahmx.com Races 4 weeks in a row. This race is at The famous Washougal Pro MX facility, near Washougal Washington. Just north of the Columbia River and east of Portland Oregon. This race was made possible for me by the kind sponsorship of it's promoter Dirk Williams. The Hammer and Tongs people were great. one of the members helped rebuild a front brake cable on the Honda and made it possible for Sam Erhart to get his first National win at 15 years old,on the Al Larsen Replica, 125 SL Honda. I had a Great time and I will be back to this event next year. There are 2 days of racing both Vintage and Post Vintage MotoCross. To learn more about Vintage MX in the Northwest go to www.siegecraftnw.com/hammer.htm to see articles about Vintage and PostVintage MotoCross go to www.hannahmx.com or www.vintagemxracer.com

  • Looks like a slow track, with few lines, and tight turns. But it is a different vantage point watching this clip I'm sure.

Wonder when they race on the other track sections not in use here?

  • The Horepowed Hill was not used because of muddy conditions. I was looking forward to it, but I'll have to wait till next year and drier weather.

  • wish it was a video, but thats my home track :) racing this year there! :)

  • i go to school with sam he told me all about this haha

  • gotta love washougal.. its such a great track. I miss racing on it. Its been 5 years or more but watching this makes my heart race. Had to give up racing for work but its time to hit it again!!

  • Just watched again. Wow, what a beatiful part of the country. Wish I could move back up to the NW sooner.

Also looks like a tough track in that layout, for a bigger bike. It looked like that Yamajammer almost took you out in the whoops too. Dude was all over the place, lol.

Thanks again for posting. I've been out of riding for years, but these clips give me an actual adrenalin rush sitting in my chair. Can't wait for the real thing again.

  • Ahh, makes sense.

I just recently caught some TV action of the modern bikes racing at Washougal. Track seemed quite different. Naturally it was very well groomed for the televised event. Seemed to have many more line choices in places, with exception of a few corners that were still real tight. They were hating the recent record heat.

Looks like fun. Will be a few, but I plan to ride that track one day. Planning a move to the NW, and get back into riding. Been to long.

    Thanks.......
