How to Link a YouTube/Google Account

Here is what you need to know

First, this only affects accounts that were made prior to May of 2009. If you joined YouTube after May 2009 then you have nothing to worry about.

Second, you can only link one YouTube account to a Google account..

Third, my YouTube mail used to go to my Yahoo mailbox. Now it goes to my Gmail and I can't change it.

Fourth many people have been locked out of their accounts due to either linking or delinking their account
YouTube has tried to come up with fixes such as this

However if you read through the comments on that help article you will find that it does not work for many.

I can't figure out how to link my newly created google/gmail account with my older current YouTube account. So for now I'll just go with (at least) 2 google accounts. It defeats the purpose of trying to streamline stuff. 2:03 "Send in the waaambulence." LOL I worked all day last Sunday to fix my channel. I don't want to start over, unless my YouTube account gets closed down again. IMO my YouTube username is perfect. I don't want to run the risk of not being able to use it again.

@Coleaptera Due to the fact that you joined in October of 2011 you already are linked to a Google account. However it is not currently possible to change Google accounts that your youtube channel is linked to.

It makes you feel raped. I am in the process of trying to link the two but it dosen't want to know. So I will probably lose my youtube account and all my effort that I have put in. So here goes I have set up another mail account and automatically has gone to open up a new youtube account. I haven't yet. Trying to see if I can link it to another mail account. I've spent hours on this!

I used to have 5 accounts.. uploading videos to ALL of them.. using properly ALL of them... n i have 2 email addresses... so... 3 accounts were locked n i can't do anything! THANK YOU YOUTUBE FOR THIS PIECE OF SHIT

Hello! When i use this google chrome, videos stop and say "An error has occured" Does anyone know here how to fix that? Its bugging me out. But the video will start playing again in time.

There's still some other services that are not owned by those cocks. I think Vimeo isn't owned by them.
