Beneath the standard exterior a beast lurks.. handbuilt Alfa 3.5 litre V6, RS Suspension & Brembo 4-pot brakes. This is how the GTV6 should have come out of the factory..

  • Thanks Tom. This is an Alex Jupe 3.5 conversion with RS Racing suspension, and it is just about as stiff as you can get away with for the road. It is intense to drive, very physical - yes, a man's car! However it has completely standard interior and it can do family trips while being very tidy on the circuit too.

  • Wheels are from an SZ - needed to put the power down!

  • James, is this a new addition to your collection ?

Also, it looks like TOUGE :)

  • @roliradr Yes, this is my Alfetta GTV, representing the 1980s! Ha ha TOUGE indeed, but not in Japan..

  • Was für ein geiler sound und gtv6 ist ein sehr schönes Auto....einfach nur richtig geil.

  • When you handbuilt this...did you also milled the block?

  • Very nice work though....thank you!

  • The powertrain...hydraulic lifters for Intake & Exhaust?

  • Bravo!

  • Hi there. A few questions, what exactly gets beefed up when you do the RS suspension mod? I suppose pretty much coil-overs, and poly bushings, thicker anti-roll and torsion bars etc.? What is done by Alex Jupe to resize the engine to 3.5?

I am in South Africa, and have '84 gtv6 2.5, still standard, appart from stainless valves, bigger AFM, and all round POLY bushings on suspension. Was thinking of fitting sleeves and pistons from South African special 3 litre gtv6. This would bring me to 2.8 L

  • Absolute motoring perfection, you are a very lucky man! Zender wheels are a lovely touch also! well wear!

  • Stunning example!

Love the way you make this feel like a grueling experience, it shows how intense and implicating driving an alfetta-chassis'd alfa can be. You seem to have a fairly stiff setup with little body roll which makes the experience even more intoxicating in my opinion.

I this an AHM conversion? I'd like to have that done to my 75 some day!!!

    regards

    Tom

  • Ah, so this is one of Alex Jupe's GTV6's. How much HP has it got? Jupe's website says 230 but that seems too low for a 3.5 conversion. I was expecting something like 270...
