I agree with @AllThat77 this song should be sung by a Dramatic or Spinto Soprano

A lovely voice with beautiful tone but not suitable for this song.
-
Very true! This is a dramatic sopranos song in every respect!
-
@20caratstone. I agree, too. Now that you can sing beautifully, forget about making beautiful rounded notes and let yourself get into it. it's the difference between singing a piece and performing a piece of music. keep up the good work!

Wow! Keep up the good work - you have a promising career ahead of you!

that was great!

You have a gorgeous tone. Very sweet and clear. Keep up the good work!

Very familiar... in fact I just saw it last year at the Lyric Opera for about the fifth time. Clara and Serena were played by Laquita Mitchell and Jonita Lattimore respectively. Look them up. You'll find they are BOTH lyric sopranos. And with that your argument has been shot down.
-
Both Serena and Clara are perfectly suited for a lyric soprano... this comment makes no sense.
Are you familiar with Porgy and Bess?!? Serena and Clara are two completely different roles and any lyric soprano worth her salt, and possessing good technique would never sing Serena. Sorry buddy, but you're wrong on that one.

Folks, where is the spirit of encouragement? She has a good voice, quite young with lots of room for growth. Good even sound, lots of potential.
