the DRO is a great idea, libertarians yet again use the free market to save the world and turn a profet

can anyone explain to me exactly why this would not work in a libertarian government?

Fantastic ideas Stef. Environmental sustainability was the issue that kept throwing a red light in my face whenever I tried to accept pure libertarian/anarchistic philosophy. The solutions that I had in mind were wishy-washy and larger scale, but your DRO concept appears solid. It addresses regeon-specific desires, and weaves environmentalism into the very framework of society (a proactive bottom-up approach).
That red light is now green--but subject to further thought experiments.

You give VERY much to think about.
I couldn't make it through the whole thing, but you are brilliant most of the time.
A few misleading statements here (the vacant lot as example of inherent failure of public ownership: what about parks?) a few contentious statements there (it is disputable that DDT is a panacea for malaria: yes it was the death knell in USA-Europe but that doesn't mean it would have been for tropical areas)
But on the whole very lovely. Elegant thinking.

Don't know why this has six thumbs down. If you disagree, rebut. Don't just drop a thumbs down.

Anarchism is not idealism, it is the only logical, practical, moral position. You can throw in anarcho-capitalism if you like, that's fine. There needs no 'higher authority' to create a foundation of justice. That is a contradiction, since 'higher authority' (a monopoly of force, the state) is inherently immoral and violent. So you're stuck in a loop of violence, supporting something which contradicts your own goals.

hes talking about canada's impact compared to its population..

How can you expect me to form a rebuttal when I can't fucking understand you?
If you learned English, that would help. That's all I'm saying.
Your "experiment" of environmental protection relative to government control is entirely bloated with misconceptions. Some of the most environmentally friendly countries are slanted in a socialist direction not the other way around.

Perhaps, but sometimes it is the other way round. Canada is less environmentally friendly than the US, and more socialistic.
Also, one of the things that can be useful in rebuttal to a theoretical model is to disprove the logic.
