  • The dude singing loudly isn't singing the melody. The melody is the second voice, what he sang should be the higher harmony. He did a great job, he's just belting out a background part instead of the melody.

  • No this song isn't barbershop and the arr. wrote the melody in the 1st tenor, if you listen to the opening and when they all sing unison it is the same melody that the 1st tenor sings throughout the piece.

  • watch the on demand recording of this. i have the music and this same arrangement, and the melody is written in the second tenor voice.

  • Well then we must have two different arr. cuz I have this version and the melody for the majority of the time is in the 1st tenor.

  • what i'm saying the guy singing the loudest isn't singing the melody. the melody is not the highest part in this piece.

  • I understand what you are saying, all I am saying is that in the version they are singing in this video the melody is in the highest voice. I have this arr., if you look on my page I have sung this song many times, and I have studied it a lot and the melody is in the highest voice.

  • @JoeyLealThe3rd likes flat tenors and overdone fist pumping

  • I love Jim Carrey!!!!!!

  • @writersblock99 yes, that's what i'm trying to say. the way this tenor is singing, he's acting as if his part is the melody in the refrain, which it's not. i guess i wasn't really that clear, my apologies.

  • @ES942 Well, to my ears, and I performed this song as well, as a second tenor, first tenor has the melody throughout the verses, and higher harmony in the chorus.

  • @Rollerbizzle54 did you notice that comment said 1 year ago? you're not going to convince me, i know what i hear. i don't care anymore. the tenor voice is not the melody.

  • @ES942 Yes it is.

  • okay this makes me want to puke. does that tenor even know what this song is about?

  • AAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAAAAAAA omg, was having a crappy day till i watched bowl cut belt out an irrelevant part, this is a choral piece not a solo piece Gyrados.

  • @LilKroog alright, can you let me know what a "saprano" is first?
