The Twilights were the Bomb!! I still have this 45(!) and 2 copies of "Shipwreck" (both worn out!) Agreed -- they didn't get close to the props they deserved but we loved the heck out of them in Philly! Their voices were a real raw expression of teenage emotion -- they made my heart hurt ... Loved them then; love them now -- Thanks for sharing!

"It's been so long" was a Superbad jam (first recording ever for the Twilights that i know of). I'm suprised that anyone had a copy of this song(let alone remember it). The Twilights never got any props for their contribution to the young soul generation. The most air play they ever got that i know was in Phila Pa with a song called Shipwrecked!

You are so right!! They never got the props they deserved!! I have everything of theirs' that I know of!! I grew up listening to their music!! Hometown celebrities!! I have played for them(Toppy,Raymond,Butch & Cheeks) many times over the years!! Unfortunately I never had an chance to play for Peaches/Brandi!!(RIP)My band at the time did perform on the show she did at Chester High School!! She was a true musical gem!!
