it is tarantella and it is Italian but the birthplace of tarantella in Italy is called Magna Graecia (Big Greece) is the south part of Italy which was populated by Greeks from 8th century BC. And there is still a memory of Greek language and traditions among the Southern Italians.

So you choose right it is Italian but with Greek past.
