It was announced at the Mummers Mass at St. Peter's, after thirty seven years as captain, Bob Shannon has decided to retire. I know how you feel, I have been in the parade as long as he has been captain.
Is he retiring? Good Lord, he was Captain when I was kid - heck, before I was ever born! He was always so much fun to watch every year. Good on him though, he's earned it for sure.
The mighty Quaker City, back when Bob Shannon could really move! God Bless Bob in his retirement after the 2008 parade. The mummers community is losing one of its greatest performers.
Yowza, this is the kind of stuff you watch when overdosing on acid right? What did I just fall into..
I was on my site, chann3lz, then all of a sudden I saw this video, and I couldn't really tell what I was watching.. Wild..
