Norwich "White Watch" demonstrate how to remove someone from a crashed car by cutting off the roof. Recording of a live demonstration at City College 6th June 2007
Funny to see how other stations do things! Good vid but dont agree with a number of things. 1) Deflating tyres - double chocking quick and can move on. 2) front window cut out - pop out all other windows then one cut along bottom of front window then cut A,B and C piller to take roof off taking front window with it. front window dosnt shatter 3) roof flap - cutts off all access to the left side of car for working and patient access. 4) stripping away interier isnt needed to be done
rubbish, chocking and blocking of any vehicle is more than adequate, under no circumstances should tyre pressures be altered by fire service personnel, tyre pressures are vital for the police in their investigations, if this is common practice in your RTC Extrication procedures i would immediately seek advice from your county constabulary,
