Tamar Katz Appreciation Video

A montage of Israeli figure skater Tamar Katz performances set to Michal Towber's rendition of HaTikva, Israel's national anthem. Tamar Katz qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympic games but was prevented from participating because Israel's internal standards were higher. Tamar was the first female figure skater to ever qualify for the Olympics and many believe Israel's internal standards were excessive. The following video was created by her fans to show their appreciation for the talented skater.

Beautifully sung & edited. Very effecting. I must confess I'd not heard of her before seeing this-what a disappointment to qualify but not to skate! A government of a country not putting their best forward to compete in the Olympics? Outrageous. I'm glad I watched this.

What message does this send to all the young, talented skaters in the world fighting for a chance to skate at their own level?

We tell them it is your personal best which is important - not to focus on beating the other skaters! Always to be improving, developing, learning.

So why not let Tamar go? It is the pinnicle of a sportsperson's career.

Let her live "The Olympic Dream"!

There is no such thing as Israel apartheid. As for the list of jewish figure skaters Sasha is another well known jewish figure skater, like Tamar Katz. Sarah Hughes is part Jewish(from her mother's side and part Irish( through her father's heritage) So please do your part and start insulting the anti zionist tyrants.
