@BionicDance Totally agreed. So many kids movies in the '80s perfectly captured that feeling, and you're right, it's almost an extreme rarity. I miss it.

That moment in childhood the guy talks about...I got that from SO. MANY. MOVIES. in the 80s, when I was (physically) a kid; Explorers, Flight of the Navigator, E.T., The Last Starfighter...I ADORE these movies.
and that feeling is what drives my new webcomic, "The Adventures of Kanira Baxter"; I MISS that feeling, they don't DO it in movies anymore...and that makes me sad. So I'm doing my part to bring it back...whatever I can, however I can.
