This is an animation carried out for a construction company to convey their methods to a client. Such animations allow all members to get on the 'same page' so to speak.

  • Cool stuff, you gave me some good inspiration to try some new things. thanks!

  • I'm glad, remember to check out my site and contact me if you ever need this sort of work done on a contractual basis :)

  • Nice work. What are you rendering with?

  • KerkyThea engine through Twilight, would like to do some additional tweaking but don't have time to re-render :( BTW how did you get the smooth transition between styles on your sketchup house animation?

  • Twilight. Hmmm. Looks good.

Smooth transitions? What I did was to build a hidden inclined segmented circle around the model. Make 'Scene' stations at each circle segment. That way 'start' and 'end' line up as a seamless loop. Render each spin around the circle using a different 'Style". In my movie making software, 'Sony Vegas', I cut out the dwell at each 'Scene' station for each render so that the movement is constant. Dissolved from one 'Style' to another after lining up the renders.

  • I see, so you used the movie software to 'dissolve' between styles - makes sense as SU doesn't do it very well. Good stuff. Are you a builder?

  • I built that house in 'meatspace' a number of years ago. I still remember the details and adding all those to the model really makes it come alive. It's really kind of a 'Time Machine' that I constructed in SketchUp.

  • Very nice

  • Thanks, although you are blowing my hi tech alias as the 3D modeler known as Mrcoastalconcepts :)

  • Very nice work Ash, the rendering has worked out nicely.
