A123 STARTING FORD FALCON.wmv

8 cell and 4 cell A123 batteries cold starting a 4.0l 6 cylinder Ford Falcon. Cells are not soldered together but connected with 1.5mm aluminium plates clamped between to nylon end frames.
Rated starting amps for the Falcon is 400A. The 8 cell has a peak amp output of 240A and cold starts the engine 3 times without any trouble. The 4 cell actually turned the crank a full rev before stalling. Too small.
