  • I wouldn't worry about running the engine that long without coolant. I ALWAYS put some warmth ( not HEAT ! ) into a new engine, before filling the cooling system. I then tighten a few bolts, and fill it.

What woories me, is STARTING FLUID !!!!!

REAL tough on cylinder walls in a new engine.

GREAT car, guys. I have a 3 window that looks pretty much the same.

  • So exciting!!

  • @leugbol In the 60s the cars ran the drags with no rad, the oil actually dissapates the heat enough so it wont overheat. In drag racing theres air flow to cool it as well during high RPMs, here the guy just warmed it up so it wont hurt anthing.

  • @GIwillo You ever find out a price for a '35 in fair condition?

  • I don't understand how he can run it and REV it like that with out any cooling system hooked up?!

  • Sure makes me want to fetch my old Merc flatty and spend time rebuilding her!

  • great car!!! what are the prices for a 35' in fair original condition right now?would like to own one in the next 1-2 years.enjoy your awesome ride :)
