Bubu Bear Somewhere Out There

I´m an Andean Bear, also known as a Spectacled Bear. My mother was killed when I was a small cub and I was kept in a very unsuitable place until I was rescued. Then I went to a zoo, to a cage that was not really big enough, but looked after well by kind people who knew that I need to move on and learn how to live in the wild, ready to be released when I am bigger. Then I went to a bigger cage, with trees, until 12th June when I moved into the rehab cage at Yanahurco up on the paramo. The Andean Bear Foundation are raising funds for the costs of my rehab, while I learn how to be a wild bear, and my release back to the wild, which we hope will be around the end of 2010.
