The 15th cutscene in Homeworld1.

After saving Captain Elson, whom is being chased by Imperialist Taiidan forces, he introduces himself to the Kushan and requests them to take him to the Karos Graveyard, where a communication relay is hidden in one of the many derelicts there.

  • This bloke's voice sounds awesome. :D

  • I especially love that effect they applied to the voices of Elson and Kadeshi ambassador. It just sounds so damn cool.

  • @xKILLZONAx No, the remnants of the Taiidani Empire were taken under the wing of the Vaygr. And while they remained a seperate species, many of the crew of the Vaygr Fleet were actually Taiidan and Vaygr (but the fleet, being Vaygr made, was just called by the name of its creators).

Meanwhile, the Taiidani Republic stayed the way they were, but were not mentioned in HW2 (and were probably besieged by the Vaygr Fleet before the events of HW2).

  • Classic!

  • @Jpzinho007 meh, Devourer's voice was just creepy/weird imo. Bentusi voice is pretty cool, but not nearly as badass.

  • @ertyqwer And the Bentusi commander and the Devourer (The Beast) On Homeworld Cataclysm ;)

  • its in many mods though :D

  • the Taiidani became known as the Vaygr.... :P

  • The design was supposed to be used for original Homeworld race "T-Mat", which was supposed to kick your ass in one of the missions just for the sake of showing how badass they are, then disappear on their way.

Apparently they later realized it wouldn't make a lot of sense, and also the model was too big, causing problems with the game's collision detection code, so in the end they dropped it.

  • It seems that the planet killer was supposed to be one of the progenitor ships in hw1 but they cancelled it, but they brought it back in hw2 act as an planet killer, maybe they were supposed to shoot ion cannon instead of missiles, and the shape of that ships just really doesn't looks like a missile platform to me...

  • Or perhaps the Taiidans or very very small people. :-)
