Not driving for the politics or the money - R.I.P. David. Since then only one driver stopped to help another - Ayrton Senna... This says all about the coldness of motorsport today. Just watch "SENNA - The movie" to show respect to last real human driver! R.I.P. Ayrton

2 Cars were driving past when David was running to lend assistance. So they would have known that somebody was trapped in the inferno. If they had of stopped, jumped out & lent assistance also then maybe Roger would have survived? David Purley had more balls then the Marshalls & other drivers combined. Roger would have looked down & said "You were there for me giving your all" Ill save ya a beer when ya visit which he did, David passed away in 1985.

Anyone who doesn't absolutely fucking rage and feel their heart thrust through their chest is fucking dead inside. Anyone who doesn't feel their legs begin to fail and anyone who doesn't wish to jump through their monitors can go fuck themselves. I know I would have given everything I can to save save Roger Williamson, and thumbs up if you're a true hero. RIP David, RIP, Roger.
Fuck footballers, fuck sports stars, no one in sports is as much of a hero as David Purley. Godspeed both of you.
