I am Spanish and around 15 years ago in a Tower Records shop in Seattle discover a recording of my beloved Rachmaninov pianos concerts by this guy called Rafael Orozco. I just started working and did not have much money but it was not expensive so I bought it. Later on I continued buying many recordings of Rachmaninov's 2nd Concert and in general of classical music... I NEVER found anything by Orozco in Spain!!! It is shameful! Orozco : the greatest spanish pianist of the XX century! He will be for ever in our memory. Do you see the orchertra and the conductor don't follow him just after the presentation of the theme... His recording of Rachmaninov complete works for piano and orchestra with De Waart is a true legend! This live is great but there is a lot of cuts, why? It's horrible

What a man ! What an artist ! I remember him as a 19 year old boy winning the second Leeds Competition in '66 with a breathtaking rendition of Brahms' first concerto...poor fellow
