Hypermode Difficulty on Gandrayda. This boss happens to be the most hardest boss to other players because they cannot land good hits on her.
Difference is that Gandrayda is very resistant to all attacks.
[Boss Strategy: Gandrayda is a shiftshaper and she transform into several creatures.
Gandrayda (herself): This is her origonal form. Gandrayda will move acrobatically around the room (which explains the reason why no one can easily land hits) but since the targeting system will always be locked on her (and she will land infront of it after every jump), its highly reocommended the targeting reticule must be pointed at the center of the screen. Sometimes she will grab Samus and the Help System will appear and say "Shake Off Gandrayda". The only way to escape is to shake the Wii-mote and the Nunchuk together. She will hop back and stand still for some reason (which makes a perfect target). Also, if you shoot her with a charged shot, she will lose balance (making her an easy target) but be back up after a few seconds. Gandrayda will sometimes transform into creatures you've battled during the past battles on the planets you've been on. However there are 4 phases (each on 1/4th health point part) (Note: Gandrayda is resistant to all attacks exept Screw Attack. The only time you get to Screw Attack her if shes standing still like after you shaked her off).
Berserker-G: Gandrayda will sometimes transform into a Berserker Knight during the 1st phase. As you recall, the weakness of it is the phazite plating on its head which can be destroyed by 3 orbs. Once after the plating is destroyed, she will attack with shockwaves. The weak point can be shot with anything (Screw Attack highly recommended and thus, the Berserkers move very very slowly).
Aerotrooper-G: Gandrayda will transform into an Armored Aerotrooper in the 1st phase and fly around shooting fuel gel and rockets. All Aerotroopers including this one is vulnerable to Homing Missles (Screw Attack also works since she flys very low and the battle arena is very small).
Swarmbot-G: Gandrayda will transform into a swarm of Swarmbots in the 1st phase and the Swarmbot will fly around in a cluster and follow Samus until they hit her. There are several individuals but one of them is her. The only way to hurt her is to destroy all the individuals and shoot the real one (Screw Attack highly recommended).
Gandrayda will lower the walls in the 2nd phase and the walls will expose Acid Rain (and for some reason, Gandrayda doesnt get hurt from that but you do).
Rundas-G: Gandrayda will sometimes transform into Rundas in the 2nd phase and will attack with ice blasters (but no pillars which is good). She will also glide around and fire ice too. Since you have the Plasma Beam, Gandrayda is weak to that in Rundas form (However, Seeker Missles are highly recommended when she glides, even though there Ice Missles, she will take decent damage).
Ghor-G: Gandrayda will transform into Ghor in his second phase during G's 2nd phase. She will use Ghor's similar attacks and use the module underneath it. Her weak point is the head when its exposed (which is weak to HM charge).
Gandrayda will transform into Samus during the 3rd phase but the walls will not go back down.
Samus-G: Gandrayda will transform into Samus Aran in the 3rd phase. Gandrayda will use the Boost Ball and the Power Beam (exept for power beam shots, this giant laser comes out and its happesnt to resemble the Zero Laser in Super Smash Bros Brawl) but however, they can be avoided by jumping since there only targeted to ground based enemys. Her weakness is Beam shots (or Screw Attack when she fires the beam).
Gandrayda (HM): In the last phase, she will remain herself during the whole battle. However, she can cloak or go into HM. She can also go into HM when cloaking (which disrupts the X-ray but the only way to avoid it is to switch back out when she starts to bend down and that is the sign of her going into HM). She has no weakness in this form since she moves too fast and cannot be Screwed.]
what item do you get after defeating grandrayda?

hey, can someone tell me, what is the difference in bosses in general difficulty in general between normal, veteran, and hypermode difficulties? I can't seem to see any.

Genetically it alters their attack power, defenses and sometimes speed. Perhaps their reaction time too.

I kicked gandraydas ASS on hypermode. the strategy is to NOT use your hyper mode ability, when she enters hyper mode, avoid her attacks until shes out and attack her.
Your on your own on the ghor, swarmbot, berserker lord, samus - G parts.

I know about HM, because it usually raises defenses of one's self.
