  • thanks a lot dedemed for your wonderful recipes!

i recommend your site to my whole family...ive learnt pita bread n hummus from you..

i had a lil question though...im planning to make this yoghurt dip for eid and i cant find any greek youghurt here in mauritius...would normal yoghurt be ok for the dish along with kofta?

again Dedemed you rock! and you look Dashing!

  • @yushra yes you can use regular yogurt. If the yogurt is not sour, then add 3 tbs of lemon juice to it :)

  • @yushra Yes you can use regular plain yogurt but you will need about 50% more as you will need to strain it to remove the excess liquid as greek yogurt is much thicker, strain it with a coffee filter or tea cloth in a colander, it will need to strain for approx 2 hours.

  • @bobcooley61 great tip :)

  • @tightvers2 thanks for the great tip...you can even use labne/kefir cheese for this ;)

  • Peace of mind: You can also strain the yogurt beforehand to thicken it up
