Vietnam to Iraq

This song is about an American Soldier who survives the Vietnam War, only to lose his son in the Iraq War.
Lyrics:
He won medals for his courage in a war that made no sense,
Killed Viet Cong in a country that now we treat as friends,
Came home with perfect body, but with scars upon his mind,
Recalling fallen comrades that he had to leave behind.

Chorus:
So he put is life together, met his wife and settled down,
Got a job and raised a family back again in his home town,
But the nightmares they returned again when his only son came back
In a body bag with Stars and Stripes from the City of Baghdad.

Over fifty thousand soldiers gave their lives in Vietnam.
And fate alone decided that he was not one of them
He grieved for them but fought because he heard that if we won,
The world would be a safer place for his beloved son.

(Repeat chorus)
A thousand more Americans have died on foreign land,
And a thousand more will perish as the flames of war are fanned,
His only son is lost to him and now he wonders if,
Once fifty thousand more have died, will he be safe again.

(Repeat Chorus)

....including audio "letters home" by actual Vietnam soldiers, Constantines "draw us lines" guitar intro, more credits to follow
