Private Oasis Slider Puzzle Guide - Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker [ANNOTATIONS ON HELPS]

Hey everyone, in the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, on the Private Oasis in the Cabana there is a Slider Puzzle (the kind you getin Christmas Crackers) and ths video is a guide on how to solve those puzzles. They are very difficult if you don't know how, I should know. So I researched into it and have created my own algorithm and solved them all. There are 16 in total, each with a different picture and they are all 4 x 4 sized pictures, so they can all be solved in the way I say in this video. I hadn't seen many guides about on this so I thought it would be helpful. You DON'T get Heart Pieces, a Treasure Chart or the Triforce Chart for doing these puzzles. Solving them only gets you Rupees, so if you're watching this to get something cool, you only get rupees, and it's not the best way to grind for rupees, but it's a fun one. I hope this guide is okay, I'm sorry if it's not, as I explain, this is my first live commentary and gameplay video and the first time I've really done commentary. And although it's hard to write down how to do these, it's still quite hard to describe how to do this out loud. I made the first part of the video a long time after I made the actual guide part, which is why they sound very different and stuff. Please just go easy on me if you don't like this, but I felt it made sense whilst making this and whilst watching it back. As I say, I made this for YouTube channel NinBuzz but the version I gave them wasn't very good and I don't think they will use it, it's been a long time since I submitted it to them. Please watch the video but if you're after a general overview of how to solve the slider puzzle in this game, here are some tips.
# They are all 4 x 4 with the top right piece missing. So study the picture row by row and ignore the top-right piece.
# Focus on moving one piece at a time and never move a piece once it's in the correct place.
# Fill in the bottom row, it doesn't matter whether you do it from the left to the right or the other way around.
# When you get 2 pieces of the row done, instead of moving the 3rd piece into the 3rd place, move it into the 4th place.
# Move the 4th piece above the 3rd piece, then you can slide the 3rd piece across into the 3rd place and the 4th piece down into the 4th place.
# Do the same for the next row (the 2nd bottom one).
# When 2 rows remain, fill in the remaining 2 pieces of the left-hand column, the top left piece and the upper-middle left piece.
# Like with before, move one of the pieces into the OTHER place, move the piece that's meant to go in that place to the side of it so that one piece can move up/down into the correct place and the other can move left into the correct place.
# Do the same for the next column on the left.
# When you have a 2 x 2 grid left, just move the squares around within that grid and provided every other square is in the right place, once you move them all about they will go into the correct places and the puzzle will be complete.

There are 15 puzzles that give you 50 rupees and the 16th will give you 200 rupees, so that's 950 rupees. After you complete all 16 you start over again and can doing the puzzles over and over. If you're after money for deciphering Triforce Charts, this can be quite a fun way to do it.

do u get anything if you do all of them

@SalvaJor11 As the video says, you just get 50 rupees each time (or whatever value I say, I forget haha) and then a lot more on completing the last one (I think I said 250). So it's only lots and lots of rupees, no heart pieces or treasure charts.

@NintenBeau I haven't finished the game (I know, hilarious because it's almost a decade old game) but so far I think the best place to "grind" is the grotto on Dragon Roost Island after you defeat all the monsters. The 4 pots around the chest contain 40 rupees, all you have to do is enter/exit the door and get 40 rupees. Should be able to get 5000 in under 25 minutes.

@stevenleoncooper Yeah, I can't believe when I did the live commentary I forgot to mention that in the beginning since that was the most important thing. And yeah, I agree, this isn't the best rupee grinding place by far.

So glad you mention there's no heart piece involved. There are a million ways to get rupees and this is by far the crappiest one. Thanks!
