Butterflies and hummingbirds enjoy drinking nectar from Firebush, a butterfly and hummingbird nectar plant. This video was filmed at Shady Oak Butterfly Farm in the garden outside the office.

  • I planted 5 of these Firebushes at our condo property in Miami, and as soon as they grew to a large size the zebra, and other butterflies went crazy......I now have about 18 types of Florida native plants on this property.......I don't own the whole place, but the association does not mind, and the gardeners do not mow as far as where I set the plants next to our huge lake.......I have even planted pond apples on the water and they are doing great......Native plants are great !
