Algonquin College hosted a series of World Cafés the week of March 9 to bring together members of the College Community to participate in a dynamic and engaging dialogue on sustainability. Participants at the café defined sustainable development at Algonquin, provided their thoughts about the long-term vision of sustainability at the College, and highlighted the necessary actions required to achieve that vision.

These cafés were the latest step in the Colleges long list of sustainability initiatives that have led Algonquin to invest $6 million in energy saving initiatives, discontinue the cosmetic use of chemical pesticides, and be the first Canadian College to sign the Talloires Declaration.
