Colon cancer usually begins as a non-cancerous growth. If caught early enough, it can be safely removed with little to no complications.
Screening is done by colonoscopy, video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1LRQshwOq30

@rgarc999 - My mom has exactly the same with 2 pin sized lung spots also. She is choosing the medical way (chemo). Her prognosis is very good thankfully. Hope everything goes well with your treatment. Prayer & a positive attitude!

I was dignosed with stage 4 colon cancer and it metastasized to the liver. Chemo is very difficult on my first two, therefore I decided to go to the Naturophatic doctor, I was given 11 herbal vit they're all for immune system supports. Its been 9-10 mos. of bi-weekly chemo and I'm still in good health. My immune system still high 'coz when I get cold, cough or flu it only last half-day then it disappear. Also, drink alkaline water, hyperoxygenated water, alkaline veggie salad and lots of PRAY

@1229noid I'm sorry to hear of this and hope you are enjoying life as best you can now. I'm 36 healthy but have had stomach ulcers, now i check my stools all the time and report to the doc if i'm worried. What happened, did you get blood and then go see the doc? What was your diet like?
