which version of the game is better, the dos or the windows version?, by the way how do u download the WINDOWS version of Raptor, 'cause i can only manage to download the dos version.

I didn't know that there also was a Windows version, so I can't say which version is better. But maybe I would prefer the DOS version because of the classic OPL music which would sound terrible on modern Windows systems.

I don't know where you can get the Windows version, even at 3D Realm's website there is the DOS version only.

Raptor was a great game with great graphics. But it always bothered me that there were no creative weapons in the game. There were no lasers or other fun stuff. Tyrian came out a year later, and that was a lot of fun. Customize and upgrade your ship with a ton of weapons, and a lot of variation in the levels.

hehe, I remember some 15 years ago, a mate had the shareware version of Raptor that came with some magazine or something, we couldn't get enough of blowing shit up, you could destroy everything and the music was awesome, stage 4 had my fav tune, good times!
