I think that they just downloaded the city models from the 3d wharehouse and the placed it in their own GE to be faster.

Exactly, I did it before you, and you're right. ;-) After restart with an emptied cache, it works but the models on my screen are much less fine than those in the video! ;-)

Maybe try to clear cache memory? (Ge->Options->Cache->Clear memory cache & Clear disk cache)

I can't see them in my Google Earth, even with the newest version and 3D buildings turned on. For example, only a few churches in Prague appear. What am I missing? Is it some paid version? Or do I have to wait for hours? I have a very fast ADSL.
