Well that answers my question if the reserve will deploy without getting wrapped up in the prop! Good job keeping your cool!

That camera angle isn't at all FREAKY
Good flying

great vid! , cool blood in low level situation, good job!

Hahaha amazing camera angle for an amazing short flight. Top work !!!! It is obvious to me that you forgot to superglue that parachute handle.

I'm so confused about your explanation & comments that I don't know where to begin. Your comments about a lousy launch and deploying a drogue are a joke, right? If so, then never mind. But as a mossie pilot looking at this vid, I see a good launch & very scary accidental reserve deployment (you almost brought the chute over the control bar which would have made you crater into the ground had it slipped over). It also appeared that your engine kill didn't work upon deployment. Please explain!

@rob790h Hi Rob, the comment about purposefully deploying a drogue was a joke, but the fact that my launch was lousy was not, as I did touch the ground. Not sure I even want to think what would have happened if I had dropped the package over the control bar... Engine kill worked, actually that's what saved me from a lot: The line that goes to the kill switch did stay in place and actually kept the chute from opening. Only when I finally dropped the chute did it come off and the engine died.

@rob790h The way the handle is placed on mossie is a bit suboptimal and unsafe to put it mildly as it does open downward/backward which is the same direction it will be dragged if you happen to touch the ground after takeoff

@rob790h And what made the launch lousy? Nil wind, poor sleep, huge urge to fly... yeah. Should have stayed home that day. And on the launch: too small aoa I guess and all in all a poor technique as it felt like the wing wouldn't carry my weight regardless of how fast I ran. Enough explanation?:)

The enormous thrust of the Mosquito requires the deployment of the brake-chute to prevent the glider overspeeding..? =)

@trflight yep... got scared of the speed so i had to deploy a drogue to get down asap. you know what they say, better be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Thank god for drogues!
