Bezunesh and Tilahun late 1950s e.c.

Here you are hearing the late 1950s early 1960s Ethiopian calendar recording by the two famous singers: Tilahun Gessess and Buzunesh Bequle . the band is Police band. A lot has been said about Tilahun; hence , i will only put information a bit about Bezunesh.
The queen of Ethiopian music -Buzunesh Bequle born 1927 Ethiopian calendar, in the province of Hararge in the city of Asebe Teferi she died 1982. In her long career, she has played unforgettable songs. Her captivating voice could only made its magic because of the brilliant musical arrangements. Accordingly, it is worth to mention that, as it has been the cases for all Ethiopian singers , the musical arrangement, melody, and even lyrics done here is not by Tilahun nor Bezuneh. Among the notable musical arrangers who made Tilahun to be the Tilahaun we know, Bezunes the queen are the likes of Sehalie Degago, Shambel Ashene et cetera . Yet, they have not hold their place in the annals of Ethiopian music; indeed, some are completely forgotten and live in destitute. We ought not to forget these arrangers and poets.
