  • OMGGGGGG THAT was the WORST pronounciation wow ! im south african and damn you guys have killed tht song good singing bt worst pronounciatin

  • @tas941 Thank you! ^_^ We did our best though. No one's perfect. This song was one of our favorites to sing actually. *no sarcasm*

  • @lileema8 Just a word of advice, the song is an african chant, and therefore it doesn't need to be sung perfectly, in fact it's meant to be a sing-along song. Another suggestion, you guys can relax a bit and perhaps put little movements which would add to the vibe of the songs

  • @nozinga1 Thanks for the advice! :) not much I can do now since we sang this song three years ago and I'm out of High School now lol

  • I gotta say this a hard song to sing. I can't wait to sing it front of the whole La Paz Intermediate.

  • @tas941 - I'm also a South African, in fact Xhosa is my first language and quite frankly i think these guys did well considering the fact that none of them speak either xhosa or zulu, but they managed to get all the words, forget pronounciation.

  • @tas941 But in English is PERFECT !!!!

  • Holy damn were singin this song in 8th grade choir.. You guys rockit

  • @tas941 That's not fair at all. These guys obviously appreciate this Zulu/English song hence them singing it. They haven't entered an enunciation or a singing competition. As the speaker of the language, I think you should be proud that all nationalities, cultures and races throughout the world are appreciating this South African song and they are coming together to worship God. Thanks Salem High for your version.

  • @rockerprincess41695 I did this way back in middle school. We phrased it "We are marching in the light of the world" and extended the syncopation to keep it in meter. It kinda fit and it held the same value without leaning towards religion.
