The current shortage of cooking gas being experienced across the country will persist for at least another two weeks. The Ministry of Energy has confirmed to Parliament that the shortage which has escalated over the last 3 weeks, has been caused by delays in discharging the commodity at the port of Mombasa. Consumers can now only expect normal supply of the commodity to resume just before Christmas, which is the earliest time that a vessel that is waiting on the high seas will have discharged its cargo before it is loaded and released into the market.------/ Henry Githaiga has that story.
