http://www.goldsolutions.eu Gold plating demonstration plating a highly polished, stainless steel van keyring with 24k gold from Gold Solutions using one of our GS500 kits.
First we de-grease the steel with neat washing up liquid on tissue dampened with demineralised/distilled water (this should always be done before plating most metals). After drying, it is activated with our stainless steel activator and then, after another dry, we apply the 24k gold.
The last job is to apply our special 'finishing' polish to remove residue and give the best shine and protection.
If you have any other questions please contact us.
Enjoy! www.goldsolutions.eu

  • if you apply the coat a few times, would you get it to be thicket and last longer? or how can you make the plating last much longer? i want to do a trim around my phone, can i buy the smallest machine to do this brush technique, without taking the phone apart?

  • @nickt916

The more times you pass over the surface, the thicker the plate and the longer it will last. Provided that the trim on your phone is metal (not plastic- some are mirror silver coloured plastic) then the GS90 kit should make light work of that and to see the technique for doing phones and ipods etc without taking them apart (and without getting any solution to run inside them) then see my vid on plating ipods

  • what voltage

  • @thegroovemaster2

9 volts to gold plate, and for the activator, these days with our new activator it is also 9 volts, but i think back when i shot this vid it was 4.5 volts. But each supplier will probably have a different voltage requirement for different activators (i can only speak for ours!)

  • The video showing how to do an ipod without ruining it is now up!!! Type in gold plating ipod: the ultimate how to and you will see just how quick and easy it is to SAFETLY plate an ipod while wasting no gold solution at all! All in less than 10 mins!!!

  • 1 second ago Real 24k gold going on, it's this quick and easy to do an ipod, provided you get do it in a way that doesn't allow liquid to get inside the ipod at all,....i shall be adding a vid soon that shows just how to do this (BEWARE any vids showing an ipod just put down on a sponge and plated on top of....this will cost you your ipod if you try this trust me!) You can only do that if it is just the BACKPLATE detached from the ipod, or do it on an intact ipod in the way i'll show you
