these movies are rated R so why would kids be watching it?
i dont see a movie rated G showing weed.. why because a rated G is ment for kids
and rated R is ment for adults so whats the problem here?

We are call "Parents" for a reason. It is up to us and no one else. And if a parent smokes pot while our kids are at school. We can still be brought up on child endangerment charges just because we smoke it under the same roof. Seems idiotic to me. We have the freedom to work and pay taxes, seems about it. Our bodies aren't ours anymore folks.

@swtchsk8er HAHA thats what I said, pineapple express is rated R for a reason. So if kids are sneaking in to see the movie thats not the directors fault or hollywoods fault. Damn if were so concerned about what kids do then there shouldn't be alchohol consumption or cigarrette smoking in movies either

it's kind of funny that people will talk about something like this, but I never heard anything about the fact that the hangover's main point is that someone put GHB in their drinks. Date rape drug? and some how marijuana is a much bigger problem? (Don't get me wrong I love the hangover lol.)
Or the fact that at least once in every movie there's some kind of illegal activity going on?
All of the ridiculous double standards are annoying.

It's not appropriate to Depict Marijuana use because its illegal. What about murder?( Not to mention the countless number of other illegal things shown in many many movies.)
