Due to some problems the first highspeedline in The Netherlands had a delay of 5 years,
Since September 2009 a highspeed train (called Fyra) travels every hour between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Rotterdam Central, this will be 32 trains a day in 2010. The Thalys train Amsterdam - Paris will drive on the Dutch part of the highspeedline in December 2009. The Hague will have a direct connection to Brussels-Midi eight times a day and a shuttle-connection to Paris via Rotterdam (cross-platform). This video shows a (very) small part of the highspeed line nearby highway A4 close to the City of Leiden.
