Just came across this video by chance, and I have say, you're a very good hula dancer, and so are the both hula sister's! I was wondering if your hula sister on the left of you, is Malie Slade? If she is (I know this video is about 4-years old), I viewed her story about her early tribulations, and was touched by her story. I'm glad she found comfort from her mom & pastor during those difficult times, and watching her husband, and son on the stage was very touching to see.

Mahalo for sharing your beautiful performance to all of us. It brought back memories of my kumu hula and friend who passed away tragically. He taught me the dance (his own version). I, along with the rest of his haumana, however, only performed it twice - at our ho'ike and his funeral. I never thought I would have do the latter but as my personal tribute and thank you to him and fighting back the tears, I managed to get through the entire song like everyone did.
