  • NO RIVER SONG BITCH. BEST EPISODE. I miss filler episodes like this. No greater plot line just like, perfect fun.

  • Sheesh, get over the dying bit....

  • @whitefluffyhat i was thinking exactly the same thing! like sure they grew up as kids together but thats completely different to actually raising your own child, even if they can get their heads round the fact that their childhood friend was their daughter and is now River. How can they just let go and move on!?

  • I thought George looked kind of pleased at the prospect of being taken away when the Doctor first introduced himself, which made it difficult for me to immediately accept the idea that the threat of being taken away is what had catalysed his fears. An unfortunate sticking point at the climactic moment.

  • im annoyed with the foreshadowing too. and i feel everyone dies and don't so i totally agree with your point on that. however, i really liked night terrors, the actor who played the father was really good.

  • @forwardslashAWESOME hahaha no, i dont think is. Oh, but except for dear rory!

  • Am I the only one who finds it weird how fast Amy and Rory have moved on from sort of losing Melody? I know that they know how she grows up and everything, because she grew up with them, but if it were me and my newborn daughter was taken away from me and then I didn't get to raise her... I dunno if I'd be able to go back to my normal life of having adventures with the Doctor right away; I'd need some time to deal with that.

  • Yeah, I think you're right about the two-episodes thing.... I was kinda waiting for it to "really start" throughout most of the episode. And once it did "start" it ended right away!

  • I have the same problem with the self-awareness. It's like the whole "fezzes are cool" thing. The producers or the writers or whatever saw that the public loved it and went crazy over it so now they have to at least mention that line (or a derivation of it) at least once an episode. There's a difference between running gags and depending on certain jokes to not lose their audience.

  • you're not enjoying doctor who at the moement, are you?

  • @artificiellexx Yeah now you mention it. I mean I really loved the episode, but I was underwhelmed by the fact that the story line wasn't that hugely original as episodes usually are.

  • @elimacca I thought of that too! With a bit of "the Empty Child" from season 1 thrown in.
