My muscles weren't quite recovered from my last workout, so I had a bit of stiffness, but my CNS was well-rested. I definitely feel "lighter" on my feet after two weeks of my plyometric routine, even with a slight increase in bodyweight. If I can work on technique [a lot] and make a video when I'm fresh, I will have something more entertaining. I did manage to get one dunk on video, though. ENJOY THIS IF YOU DARE...

  • a dunk is a dunk... everybody has their own dunking style and motion. have seen your other vids too, nice :)

  • Thanks for the kind words! I've definitely gotten a more fluid technique since this even if my vert has dropped off a bit because of the holidays, haha.

  • try to get on the last step more explosive. That helped me a lot, I was doing all too slowly. Unleash your energy

  • Watch my newer log. This one is pretty old, and I've gotten better the last several months.

  • u provably figure out by now but ---try using weigths 2x heavier than the ball to get the heigth ur trying to achive w/ the ball... looking forward tosee ur next vid.

  • Check out the vid I posted today. I mention my current workout in there.

Squats and deadlifts increase your limit strength so that you have a bigger "motor" to use in jumping. You can refine that "motor" with explosive work (power cleans, snatch, jump squats, broad jump) and plyometrics (depth jumps, sprints, bounding, footwork speed drills).

  • hey, ive seen your squat/deadlift video

is there any other exercises your doing to increase vert? im working on increasing mine too but don't know which exercises to focus on. :O

  • good jump man! what workouts/schedule do you use?

  • actually u jump pretty high. i think u should work on athleticism.Ur dunks will look much better

  • Yes, I practice every day I work out (at the end of my workout).

I work on technique, speed, and staying relaxed. A little work really helps.
