is it possible to don't use flash powder or whistle mix in a 2" or 3" shell? because i'm from Holland and there it's almost impossible to get aluminum powder for flash or chemicals for whistle mix. please can you help me? do i get a nice break without flash or whistle? thanks

@marcomovies97 You do not need whistle or flash for any size shell. If you use quality black powder as burst and do a good job pasting it will work fine.

@demnlordd666 I mean even a lowly fountain looks suspicious if you make it at home. and I could see how a paper mache ball full of powder would look dangerous. but at 19 for a responsible youngster cops were really over kill. I think he was scared. regardless glad no one did time, but not great to even have the mention of bomb making on your record ya know. suspect for life if any thing comes up

@hellman100 ok so gotcha not a kid. makes it worse. coulda sat down n explained what was going on. If you are learning from youtube, could show the links you were trying to copy, have a serious conversation and explain boundary's. problem solved. last time I checked (12 yrs ago) there was mandatory minimum of 3 years for making a pipe bomb. judge can't give a break so not being a minor could have been really ugly. obviously cops knew it was not intended to harm if no time served
