It's really amazing how Phantasy Star 3 for the Genesis actually looks worse than Phantasy Star 1 for the 8-bit Sega. The combat screen is a joke, and the maps are full of nothing but walls and floors.

The artwork and music are great, but I wished there were more dungeon environments and better monster animations.

Yeah I hear ya this game annoyed me so much. Used to hate it when enemies kept poisoning me and their was this weird glitch I kept getting where I would have cast Anti over 7 TIMES just to cure one character. Man that was irritating!

I agree. Looking at the series as a whole i can understand why this one is so different, but i think that it would have been much better if it had had more in common gameplay wise with the others.
Still i find it very enjoyable.

I don't like the battle system. The layout, backrounds, and music during battles leaves a lot to be desired. IMO this is where they dropped the ball the most. Plus your characters walk SOOO SLOOOOW. I don't like how they utilize their techniques either. Change these things and the game is far more playable.
