Probably the finest recording of Tim Hardin's classic!
From Jess's 1977 album "The Player Not The Game".
Sweet sax solo by Harold Vick.
Produced by Joel Dorn.

  • Such a great voice. I saw Jess play with Stomu Yamashta at the Bottom Line so many years ago. What an amazing singer. I love this album.

  • @carolloveskiwis Thanks Carol! Me too! Jess was awesome but should have had a better PR manager!. ; )

  • This is better than Tim Hardin's ... I'm sorry.

This cover is Harmonic and very well embellished.

  • @JuliansFlightdotcom Seems to be the general consensus here! : )

  • Beautiful production - @Julians - get real - no one sings better than Tim Hardin

  • fantastic again

  • Beautiful....and a nice contrast to Colin Blunstone's sublime version.

  • I love this album. I bought it on vinyl many, many years ago and it holds many memories for me. Is there a chance you might post the playlist? There is one track on the album (I think the final track) and I'd like to find it again? By the way, the slide show suits.

  • After this version the tim hardin one hasn't a chance!

  • The whole album is a joy. The singer is completely at ease and you feel it through the grooves.

  • Thinking of you always my dearest departed June x
