People have asked us about the insulation in the Airstream on a few occasions. Since we have not owned a ton of other trailers, it is hard for me to compared with others. But I could comment on how our experiences have been having traveled through various weather conditions in ours. The Airstream is also kind of unique in that the exterior panels of made of aluminum which is going to conduct heat better than fiberglass. There will also be differences depending on the model of Airstream you have. Some like ours, have the interior aluminum skin exposed as opposed to being lined with fabric which I would assume adds another layer of insulating quality to it.

when it's cold, put on a sweater, or turn on the heat.
when it's hot, turn on the a/c.
or, you should have spent more cash to buy a better insulated unit.
for myself, i'd spend a lot less, and convert an old school bus! and add all the insulation i wanted, since i'd have a huge pile of cash left over.
cheers!

Thanks for the info....this video answered one of my most important questions. Could you share more on how it feels inside at extreme temperatures, both heat and cold?
Thanks!
